Details for journalists

Press Credentials Pick-Up

Journalists who have been approved for accreditation can pick up credentials starting at 13.00 p.m. on Tuesday 9 November 2010 at the Media Registration Desk, located at Hall A, 2nd Floor of Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Bangkok. Photo identification is necessary to obtain the IACC media credential.

The 14th IACC credential for media also grants access to the Press Room, press conferences, and briefings in the conference venue.

Press Room Arrangements

The Press Room at Ballroom, located at Hall A, 2nd Floor will open at 8.00 a.m. – 19.00 p.m. on 10 – 13 November 2010 (closing time may be adjusted).
The 14th IACC press room has space for 80 – 100 journalists, and operates on a first come, first-served basis. The press room will be equipped with power outlets, 5 computers per row with internet access, 5 printers (B/W), a photocopier, and 2 plasma screens. The press room also provides wireless (Wi-Fi) access for personal laptops. If journalists wish to make a telephone call, public telephones are available at zone A-Ground floor and telephone cards can be purchased at the information counter, zone A-Ground floor. Facimile machine service is also available at the business centre, zone A-Ground floor. For further information regarding telecommunications arrangements within the conference venue, please contact the staff at the press room.

ISDN Lines

The press room does not have ISDN lines in place.

Interview Requests
The 14th IACC / Transparency International media relations division handles requests for interviews with 14th IACC, Transparency International officials and plenary speakers during the conference. Interviews can be arranged via the representative in the press room.

Photo Opportunities for TV and Still Photos
Photo opportunities will be detailed in the press conference schedule. For photo-ops related to the daily plenary sessions, photojournalists are requested to assemble immediately after each plenary on the first five rows of the Plenary Hall.

A tentative schedule of press conferences will be available in the press kits. An updated daily schedule will be available in the press room.
